I voted for a political team that is proficient to ensure the democratic governance and further development of the country

“On the one hand, the Government fully ensures free, democratic elections throughout the country, on the other hand, the Government will not allow anyone to attack our democracy and the achievements of what is called free elections”, – the Speaker, H.E. Archil Talakvadze stated at the polling station.

Pursuant to him, Georgia is committed for further development.

“I voted for a political team that is proficient to ensure the democratic governance and further development of the country. I am convinced that the democratic reforms that we have carried out over the years will guarantee the efficacious future and further development of our country – the participation of every fellow citizen in this process is particularly essential today. I thank the society, all our fellow citizens as a lot has been done with their support over the years and Georgia is hence committed for democratic, free elections that in turn guarantee the further development of the country”, – the Speaker remarked.

According to him, the ruling team expects tangible support from the public, which is confirmed by all prevailing surveys, according to which, the support of the “Georgian Dream” in different regions varies from 55 to 60%.

As the Speaker added, the work embarked by the Georgian Dream makes the ruling party eligible for being elected for the III term.

“In 2012, the Georgian Dream had much higher support than it was actually shown in the elections, which were held amid the fraud, pressure on citizens, yet we were able to win and take to the peaceful changes. Compared to 2016, the support of our political team and party has increased, as evidenced by all surveys, and this is due to the fact that the Georgian Dream today has a much stronger, consolidated team, and most importantly, the work implemented by us is properly valued by our citizens – it is peace, stability, caring for people, protection of their rights, freedom of business, new infrastructure in the country and successes in foreign policy. Most importantly, our citizens are most attentive for the future, and our political team is the very political team that will best be able to ensure a peaceful, progressive future and the uninterrupted development”, – Archil Talakvadze told the reporters.
