24,359 tests have been administered in the past 24 hours, with 507 new cases and 660 recoveries confirmed, and the positive test rate at 2.08%Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today’s briefing at the Administration of the Government. He reported the latest COVID-19 statistics.

“Allow me to quote the latest coronavirus statistics posted on stopcov.ge as of February 12. 24,359 tests have been conducted throughout the country under the intensive testing program in the past 24 hours, including 16,451 antigen tests and 7,908 PCR tests. Consequently, we have 507 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 264,665 confirmed cases. As for positive test rates, the daily statistics for February 11 are 2.08%, and 3.36% and 3.0% for the past 14 and 7 days, respectively. We have 660 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 256,684. Unfortunately, 15 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since the outset of the pandemic, we have had a total of 3,336 fatalities. Of the 507 cases identified today, 191 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 19 in Adjara, 108 in Imereti, 26 in Kvemo Kartli, 40 in Shida Kartli, 20 in Guria, 46 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 40 in Kakheti, 5 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 9 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 3 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
Presently, we have 4,691 active infection cases. Of which:
• 2,045 persons are treated in hospitals, including 910 in Tbilisi, 165 in Adjara, and 454 in Imereti.
• We have 438 severe cases, including 171 in Tbilisi, 47 in Adjara, and 120 in Imereti, of whom 126 are on a ventilator, including 87 in Tbilisi, 7 in Adjara, and 14 in Imereti.
• 284 persons are in clinical hotels, including 132 in Tbilisi, 133 in Adjara, and 19 in Imereti.
• 2,290 persons are recovering at home.

We have 304 persons in quarantine zones, including 169 in Tbilisi and 81 in Adjara. From October 6 through February 11, a total of 22,746 persons have been transported from the state border into quarantine zones. Presently, 12,169 persons are self-isolating, including 6,878 in Tbilisi, 647 in Adjara, and 1,355 in Imereti,”- Berdia Sichinava said.
